

Prohibited
- If you do not bring your passport, or the passport you present on the test day is different from the one you use for registration, you will not be allowed to take the test. If you apply for a new passport after you register, please make sure you contact IDP IELTS as soon as possible.
- If you bring a mobile phone or watch into the test venue, you will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a Test Report Form. Watches and mobile phones (must be switched off) will be stored in your personal belongings and checked out by our invigilators before you enter the test venue.
- You must not engage in any form of malpractice which may damage the integrity and security of the IELTS test. Malpractice includes, but is not limited to:
- impersonating another candidate or having another person impersonate you.
- presentation of fraudulent ID Documents or attempting to alter the data on the Test Report Form.
- removing, or attempting to remove any materials from the test room or reproducing any part of the test in any medium
- passing or attempting to pass test-related information to other people
- damaging examination papers or answer sheets intentionally
- copying the work of another candidate or possession/use of pre-prepared notes
- disrupting the test in any way
- opening a test booklet before being instructed to do so
- failing to stop writing when instructed to do so
- other behaviours regarded as breach of test rules by the invigilator
- Candidates engaging in malpractice will not be allowed to complete the test and will not receive an IELTS test result. Malpractice candidates may be prohibited from taking the IELTS tests for 2 years and liable to legal action.
- Candidates who are found to have engaged in malpractice on test day after their result has been issued will have their result cancelled. Malpractice candidates may be prohibited from taking the IELTS tests for 2 years and liable to legal action. Please note that this ban applies to every IELTS test centre around the globe.
- Candidates engaging in malpractice will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
- No drinks other than water will be allowed inside the test venue. The water bottle must be translucent and see-through, with no English wordings on the surface.
- You can not enter the test venue with a hat, hood, or any cover of your head and face, unless for religious reasons.
- You can not talk to other candidates once you enter the test venue. Should you need any assistance from us, please raise your hand without making any noise. An invigilator will attend to you shortly.
- You may not request an early exit from the venue once the test starts.
- You can not take toilet breaks during the following times:
- The entire Listening test
- The last 10 minutes in Reading test
- The last 10 minutes in Writing test
- When question booklets and answer sheets are being distributed, collected and counted
- Once you complete the Speaking test, please leave the test venue right away. Any discussion with other candidates inside the test venue might lead to disqualification.
- IDP IELTS reserves the right to interpret or change the test policy. If you have any queries, please contact us for clarification before you register for a test. Once the registration is complete, you are under an obligation to abide by the test policy.
- Please work with us to prevent security breaches. Report any suspicious activity and provide us details so we can work with you.
